THE BRIGHTEST STARS FOUNDATION
“When you empower and inspire youth to believe in themselves and their capacity for greatness, they embrace their power to be the leaders of tomorrow - leaders who will create positive and lasting change in their communities and our world.”
~Camille Wardrop Alleyne, Ed.D.
The Brightest Stars Foundation (BSF) is a 501(c)3 non-governmental organization that is dedicated to educating, empowering and inspiring young women to be future leaders through the study of science, math and technology.
Founded by Dr. Alleyne in 2007, the organization provides mentorship to young women from all across the world, equipping them with the tools needed to select careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and successfully matriculate through secondary and tertiary education in these fields.
Additionally, in March 2017 the foundation launched the "10,000 Girls" initiative established to empower girls throughout the Caribbean region to see their greatness and to know there is "no limit" to what they can achieve with hard work, determination and a belief in themselves. In Trinidad and Tobago, over 350 girls, mostly from rural and urban regions, were able to screen the movie Hidden Figures and be addressed by Dr. Alleyne - a NASA "Modern" Figure and a local STEM model - Dr. Valerie Bowrin.
